Kyea Sturkin
CEO, Lead Instructor
A native of Georgetown, South Carolina, Ms. Sturkin attended Georgetown County School District (Cosmetology) where she obtained her Cosmetology License. After graduation, she moved to Charlotte, NC where she attended Brands College of Beauty and earned her Cosmetology Instructor License and then Rowan-Cabarrus Community College where she earned her Associates Degrees in Cosmetology and Cosmetology Instructor. Ms. Sturkin returned to her hometown where she felt she could make a difference in the beauty industry and to fulfill her dreams of becoming a salon owner (KNK Hair Salon Ltd. Co.) and school owner (KNK Academy of Cosmetic Arts Ltd. Co.) Before teaching in Georgetown, she was a cosmetology instructor in Charlotte and Myrtle Beach. Ms. Sturkin has operated her salon and teaches for the Georgetown County School District (Cosmetology) since 2009 until present. After 20+ years in this industry, Ms. Sturkin still has the passion, love, and burning desire as when she first started but, it’s the ability to help others reach their career goals and become successful that puts the flame in her.
